Samantha De La Garza | Jadestone Real Estate
How long have you been in the industry and how did you first get started in real estate?
I've been in the industry for a little over 4 years. My background is in property management and leasing and I became interested in real estate sales after seeing the positive impact realtors can have on their client's lives.
What's the most interesting or most important thing you've learned in a real estate continuing education course?
A huge percentage of agents fall out in their first year. Perseverance is key in an industry that requires constant growth and adaptation.
What do you consider your greatest accomplishment during your time in real estate?
Helping my brokerage grow. I recruit agents, assist in property management, marketing, and transaction coordination and I do all that and more to see my brokerage flourish.
What is the trait you most admire in other real estate agents or brokers?
I admire integrity and the eagerness to provide support. In a cutthroat industry it is refreshing to meet agents who are willing to give advice and treat others like with respect regardless of age or years in the industry. We are all moving towards the same goal and lifting up your fellow agent will not bring down your success.
What books, websites or courses do you recommend to those in the real estate industry and why? (Please write at least two sentences.)
Outside of books, websites and courses, I recommend agents join forums and groups to get real life advice from other agents that have been in the industry for years or even just starting out. I've learned so much through other agents' personal experiences in the industry.
What advice do you have for new agents who are just starting out in the business?
Learn what makes you stand out and make it genuine. Sincerity will always draw people to you!
