In order to renew your recently expired real estate license, you will need to complete the following steps:
Step 1. Complete your required 22.5 hours of approved continuing education courses.
You will not be required to complete the NY CE courses if you:
Step 2. Submit your Renewal Application through eAccessNY and pay the renewal fee. Be sure to keep copies of your renewal confirmation for your records.
Every two years, real estate professionals in New York are required to take continuing education courses in order to renew their license. Through our partnership with Kaplan Real Estate Education, we are able to offer you the courses you need to renew your New York Resl Estate License and continue with your real estate career.
From the date that your license expires, you have two years to complete the renewal process. If you fail to renew your real estate license in that time frame, you will be required to retake the state exam in order to re-apply for your license.
This New York CE course includes all 22.5 hours of coursework needed to fulfill your license renewal requirements.
The required CE courses are:
Fair Housing in New York (3 Credit Hours): This course covers topics from fair housing, HUD involvement, cultural diversity, cease-and-desist lists, and more that are all aimed to keep you in compliance with State and Federal Laws.
New York Agency (3 Credit Hours): This course is designed to help keep you informed about the functionality and workflow of real estate agencies in New York.

You will have six months from the date of purchase to complete your 22.5-hours of coursework.
When you complete your courses, be sure to save or print the proof of completion to attach to your real estate license renewal application.
