Can't-Miss Real Estate Conferences for 2019

Raise your hand if you’re going to any real estate conferences in 2019!

Real estate conferences are a great industry introduction for new real estate agents. You’ll have the opportunity to pick the brains of real estate experts and mingle with agents from other markets.

And real estate conferences are also advantageous for veteran agents who want to shake things up and explore new ideas for their real estate practices.

The hardest part is deciding which real estate conferences to attend. There are conferences all over the world and for every conceivable niche in the industry.

In this post, we’ll discuss the benefits of attending real estate conferences and let you know which conferences you can’t miss in 2019. We’re focusing on  residential  real estate conferences since most of our readers are residential agents and brokers.

Why It’s Important to Attend Real Estate Conferences

Before we jump into the list of can’t-miss real estate conferences, let’s talk about the benefits of attendance.

Many agents, especially newer agents who aren’t yet realizing their income potential, are deterred from attending conferences by the costs. There’s the cost of the conference ticket, plus the cost of travel, lodging, and food. Real estate conferences are a financial investment (albeit a tax-deductible investment!).

But the real estate conferences on our list are well worth the expense. Here’s why:

1. You’ll learn from the best and the brightest.

The speakers at real estate conferences are true real estate experts. They have a proven track record of success in the industry. They’ve been through the highs and lows of the real estate market, and they know how to generate leads and close deals no matter what the economy is doing. If these experts are speaking, you want to be listening.

2. You’ll extend your professional network.

Real estate conferences are a great place to network with other industry professionals. You’ll be able to exchange ideas and best practices. Plus you’ll be building relationships with out-of-area agents, which could potentially result in referrals for buyers relocating to your area.

3. You’ll hear about industry innovations.

Technology is changing the way we do business in every industry. And real estate is no exception. If you’re going to attract the next generation of buyers and sellers, you need to stay on top of the innovations in real estate.

4. You’ll leave feeling rejuvenated.

This is one of those intangible benefits that most people don’t think about. But real estate conferences are inspiring. With all the new ideas flying around, you’ll leave with a fresh perspective on your business. You’ll be energized and motivated to implement the things you learned at the conference.

5. You’ll see first-hand what it means to be a real estate expert.

The professionals attending real estate conferences are typically the top producers because they recognize the value in attendance. You’ll find people you can emulate in your business and your life. Who knows? You might connect with some of the presenters during your 2019 conferences and find yourself speaking to a crowd of your peers in future conferences. You’ll become the real estate authority in your market!
