Step 1. Complete the 90 hours of pre-licensing education with Aceable Real Estate School
Our online Arizona real estate course prepares you to pass the licensing exam and start your new career with the knowledge you need to succeed.
Our course includes all 90 hours of education you need to take the Arizona licensing exam and get your license through our partnership with Kaplan Real Estate Education. This online course is approved by the Arizona Department of Real Estate.
The 90-hour Arizona Real Estate Principles Course covers:
- Arizona real estate license law
- Differences between Arizona laws and common laws
- Arizona real estate regulation
- National real estate laws
- Principles and practices of real estate
These are interactive courses that include quizzes, videos and scenario-based case studies that help you retain the information. You’ll also have access to Arizona Real Estate Exam Prep questions and practice exams. It’s everything you need to get an Arizona real estate license.
Step 2. Pass your pre-licensing course exam
In order to take your Arizona Real Estate Exam, you must pass your course exam. This exam is proctored and can be taken virtually when scheduled with a qualified virtual proctor.
Step 3. Submit a Fingerprint Clearance Card for a background check
Fingerprinting can be set up with the Arizona Department of Public Safety. In order to submit your Fingerprint Clearance Card, you must first
apply for your card and receive clearance from the DPS.
Step 4. Submit a Disciplinary Actions Disclosure Form
As part of the background check for your real estate license, you are required to submit the
Disciplinary Actions Disclosure Form when you submit your real estate license application.
Step 5. Complete the 6-hour Contract Writing Class
After you complete the 90-hour pre-licensing course but before you can apply for an Arizona real estate license, you must take an introductory 6-hour Contract Writing Class. The 6-hour course includes three hours of contract law and three hours on real estate legal issues.
The course is administered by ADRE-approved providers. It can be a standalone class or included with the 90-hour pre-licensing course. When you send in a license application you’ll have to submit a certificate of completion from the course provider to prove you took the contract writing class.

Step 6. Pass the Arizona Real Estate Exam
You must pass the Arizona Real Estate Exam with a score of 75% in order to earn your Arizona real estate license.
