Step 1: Meet the basic qualification requirements
The Michigan Bureau of Professional Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) expects you to meet a couple of basic requirements before pursuing your Michigan real estate license.

Step 2: Complete your 40-hour pre-licensing education
While you don’t need a college degree to become a real estate agent in Michigan, you do need a real estate-specific education. You’ll need to complete a 40-hour pre-licensing course from an approved Michigan real estate school. Step 3: Start your Michigan real estate license application
Before you can sit your Michigan real estate exam, you must start your Michigan real estate license application. Simply complete the application online and pay the $88 processing fee to open your application. LARA will review your application to make sure you meet the basic qualifications and have completed your required real estate course, and they’ll notify you when you’re approved to sit the Michigan real estate exam.
Step 4: Find a sponsoring broker
